Who am I ?

Hello, I’m Nic.

I’m a mother, Naturopath, Systemic Practitioner, Yoga teacher, HTMA mineral practitioner, and Women’s health therapist, with specialist training in womb wellness (Mizan Therapy) and Yoni Shakti Well Woman Yoga. I am also currently training in Psychotherapy and Counselling (BACP), deepening and integrating the therapeutic foundations of my work..

For over 20 years, I’ve held space for women through group work, circles, and embodied practices that support healing, resilience, and self-understanding. My professional journey began in Criminal Youth Justice, where I developed a strong commitment to walking alongside people through complexity, adversity, and change.

Alongside my professional path, my life experience has been equally formative. As a single mother of two boys and a long-term carer to my disabled son for over 22 years, I have lived the realities of sustained responsibility, exhaustion, devotion, and profound personal growth. These experiences shape how I work, with depth, compassion, and a deep respect for each woman’s capacity and pace.

I am passionate about supporting women across all stages of life, honouring the cyclical nature of health, the rhythms of the nervous system and body, and the importance of feeling safe, resourced, and connected within oneself. My approach weaves together naturopathic care, mineral balancing, systemic and embodied practices, therapeutic presence, and lived wisdom.

Nature is where I feel most at home, walking, cold water swimming (when possible), and being held by the wild makes me feel whole. This relationship with nature also informs my work, inviting groundedness, simplicity, and reconnection.

As I continue my Psychotherapy and Counselling training, my work is evolving- becoming more integrated, relational, and therapeutically held. In essence, I am growing deeper, and so is the way I support the women I work with.

I’d love to walk this path of nourishment with you.

Working with women across life’s thresholds

My main focus is to support women through life’s significant transitions, honouring and empowering their journeys from maiden to mother to matriarch. This work resonates deeply with a desire to create a supportive and nurturing space for women to navigate these powerful shifts.

The work of Elizabeth Davis and Carol Leonard, particularly the Women's Wheel of Life, provides a strong framework and impetus for this calling. Their model highlights the cyclical nature of women's lives and the unique challenges and opportunities presented at each stage. This understanding fuels a desire to provide holistic support tailored to these specific thresholds.

Skills & approach

My background and training in the following areas allow me to offer a uniquely comprehensive and sensitive approach to threshold work:

  • Embodiment: Helping women connect with their bodies' wisdom and intuition, fostering self-awareness and empowering them to navigate change from within. This is crucial during transitions when physical and emotional shifts can be profound.

  • Womb wellness and Yoni Shakti: A deep understanding of women's health needs across the lifespan, including hormonal changes, reproductive health, and the unique challenges faced at each threshold. This allows for informed and targeted support.

  • Systemic therapy: recognising that women exist within a network of relationships and societal influences. This perspective allows for exploring the impact of these systems on a woman's experience of transition and addressing any imbalances.

  • Yoga: Utilising yoga as a tool for physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Yoga can be particularly powerful during transitions, offering grounding, stress reduction, and a deeper connection to the body. My training in Tantra and non-duality informs my approach, helping women connect not only to their bodies but also to their inherent wisdom and inner knowing. This includes exploring the concept of Dharma – one's unique purpose and path – through movement, breathwork, and meditation. By integrating these ancient teachings, I can guide women to discover and embody their authentic selves, navigate life transitions with greater clarity and intention, and align with their true calling. This can be particularly helpful during times of change when women may be questioning their identity or seeking a deeper sense of meaning.

  • Trauma-informed approach: Creating a safe and supportive space for women to explore their experiences, recognising the potential impact of past trauma on their ability to navigate life transitions. This approach prioritises safety, agency, and healing.

  • Nervous system healing: I adopt a trauma-informed approach grounded in Polyvagal Theory to support nervous system regulation and resilience, crucial for navigating life transitions. By understanding nervous system responses, women can learn to recognise a disorganised nervous system and cultivate tools for stability and resilience. This approach empowers women to move through change with greater ease and confidence, fostering agency and resilience through practices that offer balance and understanding unique to individual need.

These skills are specifically tailored to support women at each threshold. I appreciate all women are different and no one size fits all.
